After college, Harry was once faced with the Dilemma of pursuing a professional career in Basketball or seeking other professional career options. “It felt like 2009 when I had to decide if I was going to Spain or going to Canada.” Harry had to reflect to the past: “The question I asked my self was, if I declined a professional opportunity 5 years ago in order to build life long relationships, develop transferable life skills and academic opportunity, why should I go back to the same thing I declined 5 years ago?” Harry wanted to see the practical results of the investments he made in university.
In the summer of 2014, Harry moved to Toronto for an internship opportunity with the Toronto Raptors Basketball Club. He was later hired in the Fall on a Full Time position with the Front Office/Coaching Staff as a Player Development Assistant.
“It was so difficult to let go of the game and having the opportunity to be around it was such a blessing.”
